Joanne Spigner Named Colgate University Trustee

 

The Colgate University Board of Trustees has appointed Joanne D. Spigner of Madison, NJ a trustee of the university.  Ms. Spigner is a graduate of Colgate and the recipient of the Brian Little Alumni Award for Distinguished Service, the highest honor given to volunteers. Most recently, she presided over the college’s Alumni Corporation which serves its 30,000 graduates.

Colgate University is a liberal arts college located in Hamilton, NY. Founded in 1819, Colgate enrolls approximately 2,700 undergraduates in programs that lead to a Bachelor of Arts.  It has been recognized by Newsweek as one of the 25 “New Ivies” and consistently ranks in the top 20 national liberal arts colleges by US News & World Report.

Ms. Spigner is a founding partner of VisionFirst, a management consulting firm that helps organizations envision their future and innovate to get there. In addition to her professional commitments and her service to Colgate, Ms. Spigner leads a variety of volunteer activities in her local community.
